British Airways launches new BA Better World sustainability programme

British Airways has launched its new sustainability programme, the airline said this marked a further commitment to put sustainability at the centre of its business, from reducing emissions and waste and positively contributing to the communities it services. The airline partnered with Airbus to paint one of its most modern, fuel-efficient A320neos in its new sustainability programme colours.

Virgin Atlantic new A350s will let business class flyers enjoy a shared experience

Virgin Atlantic's latest Airbus A350s will swap their spacious business class lounge, The Loft for a more private dining experience space for two. The booth will debut on the second tranche of five A350-1000 deliveries due from the end of 2021, which in turn will introduce a ‘leisure’ configuration in contrast to the previous 12 premium jets.

Qatar Airways increases flights from Edinburgh and Manchester

Qatar Airways plans to steadily ramp up its services from Edinburgh and Manchester to Doha to meet the demand following the lifting of travel restrictions. The carriers Edinburgh to Doha route has increased from two to three per week and will continue to rise from October. Meanwhile, services from Manchester have increased from three to ten weekly flights.

Singapore Airlines launches quarantine free flights from Germany

Passengers who are fully vaccinated in Singapore and Germany will soon be able to travel between the two countries quarantine free on Singapore Airlines, due to the new Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) programme. Passengers must have stayed in either country for at least 21 consecutive days prior to departure. There are dedicated flights for VTL flights.

Lufthansa improves travel experience with innovative cabin

Lufthansa passengers can now enjoy a whole new flying experience on short and medium-haul routes, thanks to a new innovative cabin. The first Airbus 321neo with the modern Airspace Cabin will take off from Frankfurt for Fuerteventura. The cabin design and the entrance area has been extensively redesigned and now appears brighter and passenger-friendly.

Emirates has reopened Heathrow T3 lounge

Emirates has reopened its lounge London Heathrow’s T3, as it continues to ramp up services to the UK. The carriers lounge has been closed since April 2020 but is now fully opened daily between 5:30 and 22:00, and passengers will be offered a wide selection of dining options including a seasonal premium buffet with hotel meals alongside a complimentary bar, offering pre-flight cocktails and champagne.
