Italy has joined many of its European neighbours in dropping all travel restrictions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Italian Ministry of Health announced that all travellers (regardless of country of origin or departure) will no longer be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated, nor results of a negative Covid test if they are not double jabbed, upon arrival into the country.
The country has been taking steps to steadily reopen its doors over recent months, including easing the requirement of face masks (outside of public transport) and dropping the requirement for arrivals to complete an EU passenger locator form, at the beginning of May.
