Position Overview
The Senior Business Travel Consultant is a key role responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients while delivering first-class customer service. This position requires a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional with expertise in worldwide travel, fare structures, and reservation systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and Business Account Manager to ensure seamless travel arrangements while maximising opportunities for business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Provide multiple travel quotations tailored to client requirements.
- Process client bookings efficiently, ensuring accurate ticket issuance and reservations.
- Handle and process card payments securely in line with company policies.
- Identify and pass on potential business opportunities to the Business Account Manager.
- Ensure all travel reservations and tickets are issued correctly, minimising errors and disruptions.
- Consistently meet and exceed personal KPIs and account service level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain a deep understanding of key products, services, and unique selling points.
- Promote and uphold EFR Travel’s values, behaviors, and corporate culture.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Identify training needs and recommend in-house training programs to enhance performance.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Extensive experience working with all fare types, including corporate negotiated fares.
- Strong knowledge of the travel industry, including global travel destinations.
- Proficiency in GDS systems, with Amadeus preferred.
- Advanced ticketing expertise, including issuing nett fares, reissues, and fare calculations.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure the best deals for clients.
- Self-motivated and able to maintain productivity when working independently or in a team.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively with strong time management and attention to detail.
- A hands-on, lead-by-example approach to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
