Finance & Shared Services Manager

Role Purpose:

 
The role of Finance & Support Services Manager is to ensure that financial & HR records are maintained in an orderly manner, that financial statements are prepared in line with audit requirements and that management information is available to enhance business performance. The Finance & Support Services Manager will report directly into the Group Chief Operating Officer, and be responsible for a team of 5 finance staff, plus one IT support assistant.
 

Main Responsibilities/Duties

 

Financial & Cash Accounting

 

  • To prepare a weekly cash flow forecast, for group income and expenditure and manage cash balances within agreed policies
  • To ensure best practice processes in place for the management of cash via purchasing cycle, ensuring visibility for payments and impact on cash
  • Manage foreign currency purchasing to meet payment needs
  • To manage credit control function across Corporate and Leisure businesses
  • To ensure adequate controls in place for the management of all balance sheet accounts
  • To ensure ATOL returns and other statutory and regulatory returns are completed within framework and agreed deadlines
  • To liase with auditors to complete year end audits
  • Management of payroll & all tax & PAYE returns.

 

Management Accounting

 

  • Completion of monthly management accounts fully reconciled to midoffice systems
  • Completion of annual budget in conjunction with COO
  • Completion of quarterly forecasts in conjunction with COO
  • Production of ad hoc management information to support the business development
  • Completion of 3-year financial model, updated monthly with actual financial results

 

HR Services

 

  • To manage the internal admin of the HR function for the Group
  • To ensure the online HR portal is administered within internal guidelines
  • To be point of contact with outsourced HR providers

 

IT Services

 

  • To manage Capital expenditure budgets for IT
  • To manage the internal admin of the IT helpdesk function for the Group
  • To be point of contact with outsourced IT providers

 

Staff Management

 

  • Manage and develop a team of 6 staff within the Finance & Shared Services function
  • To work with the COO to implement an annual appraisal system and the roll out across the organisation
  • To support the COO with the ongoing development of establishing company values across the organisation
