Business Development Manager

Role Purpose:

 

Reporting to the Head of Business Development at the EFR Travel Group and working closely with the Corporate Operations Manager, the role of the Business Development Manager is primarily to generate new corporate business, while retaining existing clientele within the EFR Travel Group.

 

Main Responsibilities/Duties

New Business Acquisition

  • Performing lead generation of targeted corporate accounts
  • Implementing phone/email campaigns to acquire new business
  • Conducting sales presentations, both in-person and remote, to new prospects
  • Executing bid writing in response to RFPs/tenders
  • Accurate data entry and effective management of sales pipeline
  • Attending networking events to promote the EFR brand

 

Implementation

 

  • Completion of credit application/credit report/risk analysis for all new business accounts
  • Implementation scope out calls and completion of all travel account mapping documents
  • Collation and upload of existing supplier rates ahead of ‘Go Live’ date
  • Working closely with the I.T. Manager to implement accounts in line with client expectations
  • Collation of existing management information and travel profile forms

 

Training

 

  • Performing online training to clients of the online booking tool – Atriis
  • Providing training of new supplier systems across the group
  • Attending Focus workshops to ensure EFR Travel Group is up-to-speed on the latest industry topics

 

Client Retention

 

  • Conducting regular review meetings with key stakeholders of existing corporate accounts to review Management Information
  • Providing recommendations to strengthen travel programmes and maximise savings opportunities
  • Dealing with and escalating any client issues both internally and with EFR Travel Group’s external suppliers
  • Liaising with the Finance Department to ensure all credit account facilities are settled in line with EFR Travel Group’s credit terms
