Qatar Airways plans to resume daily flights between Doha and Birmingham, UK, as part of its summer schedule 2023 - signifying growing confidence in international air travel recovery. This route expansion boosts the region's connectivity and economy, benefiting both business and leisure travellers.

The return of Qatar Airways to Birmingham marks the first regular service between the two cities since the airline ceased flights in 2020 at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and will be operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

Airport Chief Executive Nick Barton said: “We are very pleased to welcome back Qatar Airways. Connectivity from Birmingham Airport to the Middle East and onwards via its large network is something our customers have missed.”
