The NH Hotel Group is undergoing a major transformation, shedding its familiar name in favour of a bold new identity – Minor Hotels Europe & Americas. This rebranding reflects the group's longstanding affiliation with Minor International, which acquired a 94.1% stake in the company back in 2018.
While the NH Hotel Group name is disappearing, recognizable brands like NH Hotels & Resorts, NH Collection Hotels & Resorts, and nhow Hotels & Resorts will remain.
This rebranding aligns with Minor Hotels' global expansion strategy, targeting the addition of over 50 new hotels in Europe by the end of 2026. According to Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, the rebranding reinforces their commitment to growth and expansion across the European and American markets.
What This Means for Travellers
The name change signifies a fresh direction for the company, but for travellers, the core experience of their hotel stays should remain largely unchanged. The individual hotel brands that have become familiar will continue to operate, offering the same standards and amenities. However, the rebranding could signal a greater focus on brand expansion and potential upgrades across the portfolio, especially in the European region.
