Lufthansa Group and travel tech giant Amadeus have announced they are expanding their partnership with ‘ground-breaking’ deal to modernise travel distribution and retailing.
The new distribution agreement, which is set to take effect from October, will allow for NDC-sourced airfares to become available via Amadeus’ platforms and interfaces, including: Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus Travel API and Cytric Travel & Expense.
The NDC-sourced content surpasses 20 airlines with the addition of Lufthansa Group, covering offers from Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Eurowings Discover. These airlines join existing players Air France-KLM, British Airways, American Airlines, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, and more.
Chief Commercial Officer of Swiss, Tamur Goudarzi Pour, stated: “We continue our path to modernise airline retailing together with our long-term partner Amadeus. Together, as industry leaders, we will substantially accelerate the penetration of modern industry standards such as NDC on a global scale.”
