Gibraltar Drops Passenger Locator Forms & Covid Testing

It will no longer be required for travellers entering Gibraltar International Airport to submit a Passenger Locator Form as of March 18th. In fact, passengers entering the territory via land or sea (Gibraltar Airport or Gibraltar Port) will not be required to complete a form or take a covid test upon arrival.

Earlier this month (March 4), the territory’s general safety requirements to wear masks and face coverings in public were also removed, this is now only advised in settings such as medical and health service buildings.

Whilst this progression will be continually reviewed and restrictions implemented if necessary, Visit Gibraltar have also recently announced that as of March 25 unvaccinated close contacts of Covid-19 positive cases will no longer have to self-isolate. However, positive cases must continue to self-isolate in line with the day 6 and day 7 testing rule.

Minister for Business, Tourism and the Port, Vijay Daryanani MP said: “We are pleased to make it even easier for UK travellers to explore Gibraltar and the elimination of airport testing and the Passenger Locator Form ensures visitors can travel seamlessly.”
