EasyJet has revealed quarterly losses after the impact of destruction caused the airline to take a £133 million hit, but insists operations are now “much improved” following cuts to its flight programme.
The UK-based budget airline made a pre-tax loss of £114 million last quarter after it suffered greater cancellations due to “operational challenges”, which affected the entire aviation market.
The airline has cut some capacity during the current quarter which will run until the end of September and has announced it will continue to “fine tune our schedule if required”.
