British Airways will be launching a new flight route between London Heathrow (LHR) and Cincinnati (CVG) set to take affect from summer 2023. This will become the airline’s 27th US destination served directly from London, with BA currently operating 300 transatlantic flights per week from the UK capital.
The service will operate five times per week during summer, as well as four weekly flights next winter using the Boeing 787-8, the carrier’s smallest long-haul aircraft. Upon launch, the new Cincinnati route will be the only non-stop service between the UK and Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Director of Networks and Alliances at British Airways, Neil Chernoff says: “This is the first time we’ve flown this route, and we can’t wait to connect two cities which both have so much to offer.”
He continues: “Not only will this open up these destinations to customers on each side of the Atlantic, but it will also improve connectivity between the Cincinnati region, Europe, and beyond.”
